Meet Dr. Anna Nonaka. With a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and innovation, Dr. Nonaka is committed to providing personalized dental care with excellence to every patient who walks through our doors.

Dr. Anna Nonaka’s Story

Dr. Nonaka’s journey to becoming a dentist is rooted in a personal experience that shaped her passion for the profession. When her mother was sick and their family lost insurance coverage, their family dentist stepped in to help. This dentist made accommodations for them during a challenging time, showing deep care and compassion for them as individuals and as a family. It was a small part of their life but significantly impacted Dr. Nonaka.

Reflecting on this experience during college while deciding on a career path, Dr. Nonaka realized she needed a profession that allowed her to be innovative and compassionate and face new challenges every day. She remembered the family dentist's small office and how she created positive experiences for patients, even those who were fearful or had been mistreated previously. This reflection sparked Dr. Nonaka's interest in dentistry, leading her to explore it further and ultimately pursue it as her career.


Now, Dr. Nonaka continues to improve dental care for her patients on a personal and professional level. In addition to taking continuing education courses, she treats each patient’s experience with the utmost care and empathy. She also advocates for patients and colleagues through leadership, serving on the board of the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society Board of Directors and their Foundation Board of Directors since she returned to SGV in 2020. Dr. Nonaka looks forward every day to serving her family, friends, and community at her office and through her volunteer work.

Specialized Training and Continuing Education

Dr. Anna Nonaka is dedicated to continuous learning and professional growth. She completed a residency at the VA, gaining valuable experience and skills. To stay at the forefront of dental advancements, Dr. Anna Nonaka completes over 30 hours of continuing education annually in areas such as esthetics, digital dentistry, preventive care, and community health.
